Description
Kentucky in a bottle: a little bourbon, sorghum from farms near Louisville instead of corn syrup, and enough vinegar to keep it from going sticky-sweet.
The sorghum is what sets it apart. It's darker and more mineral than molasses, and it gives the sauce a finish closer to savory than candy — which means you can use a real amount of it without everything tasting like dessert.
Good on ribs and pulled pork. Better as a dip for anything fried.
